- Planning and Design: Preparation and management of the design and engineering planning for solar and battery storage projects, from development to detailed construction planning.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensuring design-relevant norms and standards.
- Technical Planning and Calculations: Creating layouts, conducting yield analyses, and performing electrical calculations (e.g., cable sizing, grounding).
- Documentation: Developing and managing documents and records for all project phases.
- Monitoring and SCADA: Developing monitoring concepts and coordinating with SCADA suppliers.
- Technical Expertise: Contributing technical expertise to the engineering and design of projects.
- Due Diligence: Leading and supporting technical due diligence activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or surveying
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the planning and implementation of PV and battery storage projects
- Expertise in PV projects and EPC. Familiarity with financial modelling and feasibility studies
- Proficient in planning software such as AutoCAD Maps, Civil 3D, PVCase, PVSyst
- International project experience
- Fluent in English and German

- Creation of technical drawings: Development of detailed planning documents for solar and battery storage power plants (e.g. site plans, construction and infrastructure plans)
- Adaptation of CAD models: modification of existing drawings and models based on project requirements and customer specifications
- Topographical analysis: Integration and processing of terrain data (e.g. point clouds, GPS data) with PVCase, AutoCAD Maps, or Civil3D
- Interface management: Collaboration with internal teams (e.g., electrical planners) as well as external partners (e.g., surveying firms, clients)
- Quality control: ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with standards and guidelines
- Developing, maintaining, and administering component libraries and templates.
- Design, optimisation and management of layouts
- Documentation and Archiving: Maintenance and Management of Drawing Data in File Storage Systems
- Project development support: producing concept plans and feasibility studies for new initiatives
- Education: Completed apprenticeship as a Technical Draughtsman, Architectural Technician, Surveying Technician, or a degree in Civil Engineering, Geodesy, Architecture or similar
- Work Experience: Several years of experience in CAD planning, preferably in the field of renewable energies, infrastructure or construction
- Software Skills: Sound knowledge of AutoCAD Maps and/or Civil3D with experience using PVCase and/or HELIOS
- Technical proficiency: Confident handling of surveying data, point clouds, topographic maps, and relevant standards (e.g., DIN, VDE)
- Analytical skills: Precise working methods and a pronounced understanding of technical relationships
- Teamwork skills: strong communication and the ability to work effectively within a team as well as with external partners
- Languages: Good spoken and written German and English
- Driving licence: Category B (equivalent to standard car licence)

- Technical support in project development: advice on all grid-related aspects of PV and battery storage projects
- Grid Connection Assessment: Conducting technical due diligence and risk assessments of grid connection offers from Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) / Transmission System Operators (TSOs)
- Cost and Time planning: creating cost estimates and schedules for grid connections in coordination with project teams
- Application and Approval Management: Responsibility for the application and tracking of grid connection processes with the network operator
- Technical design review: verification and development of medium and high voltage connections, and coordination of protection concepts
- Coordination of suppliers & service providers: managing external partners for grid connection components
- Negotiation & technical development of grid connection solutions: Collaboration with grid operators to optimise grid connections
- Certification & commissioning processes: ensuring technical acceptances, as well as conducting protection tests and network simulations
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience: Experience in grid connections for renewable energies
- Technical know-how:
- Sound knowledge of medium and high-voltage networks and protection concepts
- Experience with grid connection standards (e.g. VDE-AR-N 41xx, TABs)
- Expertise in high and medium voltage engineering and substation construction
- Experience with network simulations is advantageous
- Certification for switching operations is a plus
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in dealing with network operators and stakeholders
- Initiative and a structured approach to work
- Languages: Negotiation-level proficiency in German and English
- Other: Class B driver’s license
